Legal Services

From time-to-time, residents contact our office to seek low cost or free legal assistance, especially for housing issues. In these cases, our office will refer you to legal aid organizations in Chicago. Unfortunately, legal aid organizations do often have wait lists, so we cannot guarantee a particular organization can provide representation.

Even if they are not able to provide immediate representation, they may be able to provide template letters or other guidance that may be helpful.

Steps

  1. Contact the Cook County Legal Aid hotline at 312-738-9200.

  2. If you would like our office's feedback on a legal aid organization that may specialize in a particular issue, feel free to reach out at info@aldermanmartin.com
