Parks and open spaces are vital to the health of our communities. We work closely with local leaders to support recreational opportunities in the ward.  The Chicago Park District is governed by a board of commissioners appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council.

Get Involved: Park Advisory Councils

Local parks are supported by volunteer Park Advisory Councils, which help guide park improvements and programming. If you want to support our local parks, we encourage you to get involved with a Park Advisory Council!
