How to Compost in Chicago
Chicago offers dozens of locations where residents can drop off their food scraps for free. All sites are open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM. Near the 47th Ward, residents may find 5333 N Western to be a convenient location.
Currently, Chicago does not offer pick-up services for composting, but there are a number of private companies that offer pick-up services for a fee.
